Hi !

Looking to see if anyone might know what I'm dealing with.

3 weeks ago, I found a giant bump on/in my chickens eye, with a little blood spot. Figured she got an eye injury. I treated her with OTC stuff and even terramycin. After 10 days, it didn't help. It actually got bigger.

Took her to the vet 02/25 to rule out anything respitory or contagious to my flock, but she had no respitory symptoms. She had a fever of 108. They gave her antibiotics, steroids and anti inflammation. Her knew friend was no bleeding so we thought it ruptured. She seemed fine. They didn't believe it to be respitory. However, we did see bubbles in her other eye. But no nasal discharge.

Monday, 03/10, I noticed I couldn't even see her eye! It was so much worse. I grabbed her again and the vet had me try antibiotic steroid eye drops. Didn't help! No noticeable difference.

She's eating, drinking and laying.

Any advice or ideas??

We have tried to use a needle and it won't drain. Actually, only appears to drain clear fluid and blood.

I don't see anything moving so I don't believe it's a parasites or bug..

She's almost 1 yr

Other birds seem fine. Shes by herself in the garage.

Does she have a bad odor from her face? What antibiotic did the vet try? Did the vet try to remove any pus from the eye or look into the third eyelid for something tiny, such as a seed or dirt stuck inside? To me it looks like possible coryza. MG can cause the bubbles in the eye. There could be more than one type of infection or a secondary infection. I would work on trying to get any pus out of the eye or sinus cavity, and rinse with saline or eye wash. The terramycin might then work when used twice a day. Sulfadimethoxine is an antibiotic that may treat coryza or E.coli. You can get sulfa antibiotics from pigeon suppliers such as this one:

Thank you! I don't remember what he gave her but the eye drops are neomycin polymyxin sulphite and dexamethsone. NOTHING is helping. I tried to squeeze it, nothing. We tried a needle and squeeze, nothing. Let me watch some of the videos

I don't really notice an odor and none of my flock appears sick though she's been separated for almost 3 weeks now since I found the lump.
