This is really a very funny scenerio and is a fantastic history lesson. PLEASE I am NOT posting this for any political comment.

I would definitely put Garfield in the top ten. He was stoic, tough, and hated the senselessness of war; but came out of war a general, became president against his own wishes, and survived for almost three months after his doctors dirty fingers had be in him a few times to many.

I think I would rate Jefferson higher, and Lincoln much lower. All of the presidents who had combat experience up through the Civil War are going to have an advantage over all the other presidents. Fighting during those times was up close and personal. They had the physical bravery, and experience to confront someone with a knife, sword or bayonet.

I liked it as a fun way to teach a bit of history. I have always loved history since I was in grade school because I could always imagine that the stories involved real people. The problem with teaching history is that a lot of kids find it boring because they can not relate it to real people and happenings. I think something like this is a clever way to teach some historical facts. As for the outcome I believe that you could find reasons to dispute many of her conclusions, however, I think it is hard not to imagine Jackson not only winning, but after it was over he would scalp them all and for a finale he would butcher Taft for a backyard bar b que.

I know that my friend Ed, Royd and Q9 are history buffs and want to hear what they think.

I agree. Teddy had some health issues to deal with but his "do something even if its wrong" mindset made him a good fighter.


What was that quote... "The best thing to do is the right thing, the next best thing to do is the wrong thing an the worst thing to do is doing nothing" or something like that.

Good read. Teddy or Grant in MHO. Grant being a mean drunk and barrel chested doesn't seem like a guy to be fooled with. Reminds me of a guy I know a few years ago but he settled down went crazy and got a flock of chickens.
