mass on chicks underbelly?

i have a cuckoo maran chick, about a wk old, that has a small, hard mass on her underside. Its about the size of a small grape and its "hip" level or so...there is also a small spot between the mass and the vent that looks almost like a tiny vent and it started bleeding a little tonight when i cleaned up her pasty butt.
Has anyone ever seen this? I noticed that the other chicks had the same sort of hardness where the mass is on my maran, but it wasn't enlarged like hers. Nobody else has that tiny vent looking thing either....
I'll try and get a pic if i can. I wouldn't have noticed either as much if she hadn't been damp from getting wiped down.

Sometimes their "belly button" gets irritated or inflamed, or doesn't dry up right away. Hopefully, a little Neosporin on it for a few days will settle it down. If you use a different antibiotic ointment or cream, just be sure there is no "caine" ingredient in it, such as benzocaine, cetacaine, etc.

ok. i didn't even think of putting that on her, i'll do that. Any idea about the mass thing?
