No. They did not. I think they were trying to escape the gnats. Probably compounded the problem.I'm sorry for asking... but did the normally sleep in that corner?

I’m sorry for your loss too. How many did you lose? It was just horrific. Walking in to feed Sunday morning and seeing all those carcasses. My heart just sank. Those were all of my Kids’ 4h Project birds and the Chanteclers were going to be the foundation stock for beginning a breeding program. Hundreds of dollars in birds and feed down the toilet.Mine costed 50$ and the peace of mind is worth it everyday. The 80$ rate i think would be if multiple birds, one should be in the ball park of what i pd.
Im sorry for your losses. Your the only one ive met whos lost nearly as many as i did. Your doing the right thing spraying the chemical, i understand your misgivings but ive sprayed 9 times in a month and a half with no ill effects. I put 5 quail eggs in my tuna for lunch. I have 2 outdoor cats was careful not to spray them directly but thats all. I saturated the ground of my place both neighboring places the pasture behind my house and the yards across the st before we got Any relief. Still couldnt bring my young children outside to play for a month and if i slip in treating the bugs are right there waiting for their chance to blow up again.
