massacre on bairlea farm

This is my first run with predators. I know there are coyotes and foxes on the farm. I worked some wierd hours teh last few days and have been opening the coop about 4am and closing it about 11pm. When daylight struck I found this. I dont keep an exact count but looks like i lost:

5 tetras
2 RIR
3 Guineas
4 Red Sex links
1 Duck
2 OEGB
3 Duccles

Ive only seen one fox so I assume coyotes did it. I did find one chicken with a almost torn off neck. That was the only parts or birds I could find.

omy Gosh! How awful! No blood or anything? So mysterious - I would standing there scratching my head for hours trying to figure out...what the heck!

I don't know, my last coon attack looked like that. This time of year, they are in pack of mama and babies /

No blood and no parts. Just the one dead chicken in the weeds with a messed up neck. Feathers all over the place.

Oh my goodness! I am so so sorry! The same thing happened to me last Thursday. It just made me so sick! Do yours hang out in a run while you're gone or do they free range? One of mine escaped the temporary pen and two stray dogs got her. I took care of them and moved the others in her group to a more secure coop/run. I really hope that you figure out what did this. So devistating.
