Massacure last night

I had my husky in the ditch today just to compare the foot prints they look nonthing alike. Unless the footprint varies that much from dog to dog. Im leaning towards it being a hybrid coyote/dog we have been having alot of sitings of them lately even during the day and a friend of mine has lost a hell of alot of sheep due to them.
Sorry for your friend's loss - I raise registered Boers and one spring season I lost a baby goat every two days for several days. I knew it was coyotes but couldn't figure out how they were getting in until I actually SAW it with my own eyes. Two coyotes doing two different things: the first one was squeezing through the tinest culvert leading into the pen, and I mean TINY - this culvert would maybe allow the passage of a weiner dog IF he was slicked down with oil! The other coyote was even more creative - he climbed up on a low lying oak branch (the type that leans over to the ground - a great climbing tree for kids), hopped over the fence to yet another low lying oak branch, and hopped into the pen. I shot them both on sight, but not until I let them show me how it was they were getting in.

My fences are five foot tall rolled sheep wire. Creatures can get creative when they are hungry.
