We picked up 3 7 week pullets last night from a guy on Craigslist. We saw his flock- all looked healthy and he seemed very knowledgable. He fed them unmediated Crumble.

Well this morning we noticed one has bloody poop (will treat all with Corid ASAP).
So, I’m pretty sure that one has coccidiosis.

However, one of the other pullets is having what I consider to be massive green poops.
The picture doesn’t do it justice- it like rounded mound the size of a silver half dollar! Keep in mind the pullet is 7 weeks.
COULD IT ALSO BE from coccidiosis?
If not, what??

Other than being freaked out they all appear to be healthy and we have witnessed them all eating and drinking.

Well, it's always best to treat them all with Corid, once you find out one has Cocci. Having big poops isn't really too much of a concern (lol even my bantams can let out logs). Then there's the green poop. Dis the guy feed them leafy greens often? Did they like roaming the grass and eating it? If so, then it's probably normal. Even if they aren't, most shades of brown and green poo are considered healthy. But yours is very VERY bright, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it. It could be a symptom, but you also said they're acting quite normally. Because of that, I wouldn't really worry unless they started showing strange behaviors or signs of illness. Just keep an eye on them.

Green can be from eating greens, grasses, or not eating enough. I would use the severe outbreak or maximum dosage of the Corid. Have you fed anything other than chick feed to the pullets since you have had them? Some foods can make the poops red.

No, we have not.
The guy said they did free range at his house so hopefully it is from eating a ton of leafy greens. If it was from not eating enough then it should correct itself as I am offering them all the crumble they would like.

I was also told that since I am treating them with corid that I should give them NON-medicated food- is that correct?

Thank you for replying. As for their behaviour unless they become quite sick I’m afraid I won’t know what their “normal” is/was as we haven’t even had them 24 hrs.
They definitely have not been hand raised like our other chickens so they are very, very weary of us at the
Is point.
