MASSIVE Turken Babies. Why?

Going through the same thing with TSC “turkens.”

Was wondering what yours look like now that they’re over a month old. Thanks!
Here are my boys at 10 weeks (a little over 2 months) old!
They are happy and I assume healthy! They’re 3x the size of my other 10 week old chicks, and their feet are HUGE! They are incredibly lovable and they both run and jump and roost normally like the other chickens. They are 100% Cornish Crosses with the NN gene, or half Turken, but so far they’re doing wonderfully and have passed the 8 week old mark where they’re supposed to be slaughtered. They love their veggies so that’s helpful with keeping them healthy! Even though I wouldn’t have chosen to purchase meatbirds, they have been a wonderful joy in my life and my flock wouldn’t be the same without them ❤️ (I have too many pictures of them LOL. The picture with the red cup is showing how more big they are compared to my other “normal” chicks.)

Wow they truly are HUGE lol. Really cool looking too. I’ll have to start making a more veggie regimented diet for mine

And thank you!!

That is wild. I've had a few turkens (currently have 2 8-week olds in my brooder) and they are not that much bigger even when compared to my rooster. I will say that my hens do have some big feet compared to my other girls in the main flock.

It is absolutely wild! I suspected they weren’t full Turkens after they started growing at such a surprising rate… Normal Turkens are definitely not supposed to get this big. :(
