In normal every day life without chickens we would probably not see predators around. But the rules change when we have them. One htread in here said they saw a coon ripping off shingle to get in a coop. They are relentless, and if they ever get in, they will be back for more chicken dinners. I know it is tough to lay out for all the good stuff to keep your birds safe, but in the long run, like elmo said, it does pay off. But please know, we all want to help, and have you here.
