This is a good cross with a Rhode Island Rooster with a Delaware hen you would get a hybrid breed called RED SEX LINK. The cockerels are shades of light colors and the pullets are shades of reds. I have the Black sex links chickens a cross of a RIR rooster and a barred rock hen. I hatch a lot of black sex link and RIR and am asked alot if I got any Red Sex Link chickens.

the way it was explained: take two opposite colored chickens.. the pullets hatched will take the color of the rooster and the cockrels will take the color of the hen.. I have not tried this, I do not offer it as fact.. this is just how it was written and I do not know the person who wrote it.. they called it sex-link chicks..

The color is correct on the black sex link the chickens hatch out with the pullets black and the roosters have a white spot on top of their head.
