Materials To Build With

Hey Everyone! Just wanted to ask if building my coop out of 2x6 instead of plywood would suffice? I live in Kentucky and we do have skunks, possums, racoons and the occasional coyote around the house so will a 2x6 board be more secure than plywood?

Thanks! I figured 2x6's all around would be good, just getting into the chicken raising stuff and I do alot of woodwork so I was just curious. I'll post pics after I get the floor in.
