Successfully moved my Hen and eggs in a warmer and safer place.

How long do I keep my Hen and babies in their own area before bringing them with the others?

I will be adding a chicken water and feeder in their before they hatch and add marbles so no babies drawn but is this an okay set up for now?

Can you post a picture please?
Sorry I’m new to this website, I posted two separate times on an accident and my picture was on my other post! Please see picture attached! I hope she gets up and eats and drinks! I have not noticed her do it yet since in the new space!

I will defer to others who know better than I, but I think your set up looks good. A broody sitting on eggs doesn't get off the nest often.

It depends a bit what the rest of the flock is like, do you have any known bullies?
I would wait around a week, till they are strong enough to get out of the way of the others, as they have been separated.

Okay, thank you! I will definitely wait a bit then and slowly introduce see how things go. I do have a few bossy ones! Which is why I chose to move her in our shed where she can relax , it’s a bit warmer, and not worry about the mean girls!

Do you know how many weeks once Momma is herself again and not carrying for them? Like I don’t want to depress her but we aren’t keeping all of them with their coop! I just don’t want to upset her by taking the babies away to soon

My broody hens have always got tired of them when they around 5 weeks old, but I know some people have had them go as long as 10 or more.
But that has not been my experience.
How the weening normally goes, is first the mother is just a bit less interested in them, then the chicks seem to pick up on this, and they start doing their own thing.
At this point, the mother will often start laying again. A couple of days later, she will start pecking the chicks when they try to be near her, which is the final separation.
