Hello all

Hoping you all can help.

We have just inherited three ducks (Two Khaki Campbells, one male, one female and one female American Pekin) from our new houses previous owners (they could no longer care for them as moving overseas)

What I have noticed is that the male khaki seems to only want to mate with the pekin?

Any thoughts?

Also I have seen a number of rogue feathers around...surely this is not the time for moulting?! They also did not lay for three days. But I did get one egg today.

Drakes do seem to have their favorites, this is not unusual.

And my runners molt whenever they feel like it. Usually not in summer, but they don't all molt at the same time. Some molt in late autumn or midwinter. Sillies.

Thanks Amiga!

That's really good to know. Today I had three eggs so obviously not having an adverse effect anyway.

Thanks again! :)

Okay so now I'm super confused. The girl just mounted one of the others? At least I thought she was a girl...

However, good news.. The two khaki's Mayes today
