my 9 week old khaki campbell drake and my two girls were in the pool today while i was filling it up. he kept grabbing one of the girls and wouldn’t let go, and then she would jump out of the pool. it looked like he was trying to mate but he was only doing it to the girl his age, not the older one so i’m worried he may be acting aggressive to her?

I don't think the mating truly ends for the year.....at least with my old flock all those decades ago....they would slow down but I don't think it ever ends.
but did your boys not start mating until the next year? my other ducks were all boys and didn’t have girls until the next spring so i’m not sure

I had breeding groups.....males with females of their same breed.
Once they matured enough to mate it never ended for the year. They slowed A LOT but it never actually ended.
In spring once a hen sat I let her hatch the ducklings out and sold all the kids at 6 weeks old. I made enough to support all the adults and the chickens for the year that way.
