Now, Amiga, do you check each drake at the end of mating season?

I just sidled left to do some research. Found a well-supported reference plus lots of plagiaries of the original.. Forgot to copy the URL of course and closed that window. Doh!

Wow. Maybe that's why a drake of mine wasn't anywhere as concerned about his prolapse as I was? Draggin' it in the dirt.... I was steeling myself to "deal" with it on day three, but he wasn't dragging anything that day. Hmmm.

This is our first drake and first mating season, gryeyes, and I do a visual inspection at least once a day of Bean's little body. So far, so good.

I too have heard they "grow a new one" each season. I can't remember where I read it, but wow that's simply amazing. That article is interesting.
