Mats and flooring for coop

We have a coop with hardware cloth on the bottom, which we are converting to a winter coop for 15 drakes, while we find a home for them. It‘s built to easily rinse the mess to a bucket where it is pumped to our compost pile.
This was intended for ducklings in summer but now shelters 6 month old drakes.
It‘s not good for their feet and in freezing twmperatures we can‘t rinse it.

My thought was to by a rubber mat which will be warmer than the metal, easy on the feet, and may have holes if need for drainage. We can put bedding on top for the winter without it falling through and clogging the pump.
All the runber mats I have teviewed are for restaurants and I am concerned about off-gassing.Looking for suggestions.
Do you have any ideas?

How big is the coop? Have you looked into horse stall mats? They come in smaller sizes so you have piece them together. I think the smallest is 3'x4' I've seen. Tractor Supply has them and so do many other farm stores including online.

The area is 38 x 73. I checked some horse stall mats last night, ended up on Amazon and fell askeeo. I will try searching them again today.
I know the coop isn‘t large wnough for 15 Indian Runners, but making do until we have another plan. They tend to all sleep sude-by-side in the cold and I think it will work temporarily.

I used rubber mats from Home Depot on top of pavers for several months in my first chicken coop. Didn't think about off-gassing, but two sides were just hardware cloth, so excellent ventilation.
Anyhow, I was pleased with how well they kept moisture from coming up and how well they cushioned the concrete. I used two 4'x3' mats because that was a lot cheaper than one large mat. No problems with the "seam", but the coop helped hold them in place.

I use the rubber stall mats over concrete, and like them. Shavings on top, and they hold up 'forever'.

Yes, exactly. They are on sale sometimes, if you watch ads. And they can be cut to fit.

I have, online. They all say for horses. I think it will work for ducks, but because ducks are so much closer to the rubber, I am concerned about fumes and off gassing. I don‘t know if this is a concern. I thought about outdoor mats for dog kennels. I suspect they are all made from the same materials.

I use them for my ducks and so do many others on here who have concrete pads under their coops, barns and runs.
