I'm plaining to get a couple of chicken breeds from a few breeders and am even hatching some.
I should be able to get them all within about 8 days apart.

Is it healthy if I keep them all together or do I need to get a separate lamp and cage?
All the breeders (expect the ones I'm hatching) are NPIP members and I plan to get through a local feed store too avoid any issues with shipping.

Just today I put 3 two day old chicks with 9 of nine to ten days old chicks under an electric hen, no issues at all, the only thing is the plate has to be at slope so the younger ones can get under the lower part, the only thing I noticed is the younger ones tend to be more adventures for their age as they follow the older ones.
I did staggering hatching using two incubators to compensate for low fertility in winter

All birds are individuals so there is no hard and fast rule.
Differences may be dependent on breed, amount of space, diversions, etc..
When they have plenty of space, I've introduced chicks with 8 week age disparities.
What do you mean by cage?
NPIP doesn't guarantee health, it only means the birds are from flocks that don't have Pullorum or Typhoid. There are dozens if not hundreds of other possible afflictions. An NPIP flock can have anything from HPAI to lice.
Biosecurity is always an issue when bringing in new birds. Feed store birds are especially vulnerable because many shoppers have chickens and can bring disease to the store on their shoes and clothing.
Given enough space, I've successfully introduced birds of many age disparities.
I even introduced week old chicks to a single 12 week old cockerel. After he got over the shock of having housemates, he mothered/protected them.

As long as they are strong they can go together. Beware of bottlenecks or corners as trampling or piling can be an issue. Beyond that... usually up to 3 weeks apart there should not be pecking order issues.

Are the eggs you are hatching your own? Do you have a plan for roosters? Pics always welcome! ;)

Happy hatching! :jumpy:jumpy
