What is the best thing to feed a chicken for best egg laying results? And also how long should i feed the chicks the starter feed before i move onto what you recommend for best egg laying results? thanks for any suggestions!

layer feed will work we use purina crumble but pellets will cut down on waste. at 8 weeks we swich to finisher/grower than at 16 we switch to adult layer feed. to get max egg production 14 hours of light a day will help you achive this.

So you feed the crumble pellets when they r baby chicks? And thanks for the info! Should receive my first baby's soon and just trying to learn the most I can!

you should use a chick starter feed for the first 8 weeks then switch to grower feed at 8 weeks until 16 weeks, then switch to layer feed from 16 weeks on.
