This is my first hatching, so I'm in the "What can I do?" mode, and know I should most likely do nothing. This hatch seems to be peeking now, right on day 21, but some chicks are already 24 hours old. Is it safe to leave them all in there for maybe another 24 hours while the stragglers hatch, making some chicks 48 hours old before they will have water? There were 37 eggs. The first hatched about 9am yesterday, and about 16 are hatched now. There is no water in the incubator (Little Giant with fan). They all look fine. Also, I have learned that 37 eggs are a lot quieter than 16 chicks. The incubator was in the bedroom.

These are Buff Orpington chicks from my 1 yo mail-order hens.

Newly hatched chicks can survive up to 3 days without food or water til the hatch is complete. That's why hatcheries can ship out day olds. They are living off the yolk sac they absorbed. Most usually take the newly hatched out after 48 hours.

Humidity levels rise in the bator from the chicks hatching so it should be okay.

Patience!!
