It was a great swap! Infact it may have been the largest ive seen yet. Missed Tammy but about 10 minutes after we got there and pulled out about half of what we had brought the crowd hit us and hard. Sold 40 quail, 20 chicks, 10 polish, 15 marans, a bunch of EE and olive eggers and all my ducks in about 30 minutes. Some things I wished I had more of but maybe next time. Great day and it was nice to see a bunch of old friends.

I took 10 birds...7 did very well and the other 3 placed a 1, a 2, a 3 in their respective categories.

We had a great time, but man was it ever HOT!

Yard full o' rocks :

WAY TOO FAR for me, but, I am interested in some new bloodlines of large fowl Columbian Rocks. If any of you see any, would someone be so kind as to get me some contact information.....please??!!

Thanks

Scott

Scott,

Didn't see any...sorry.

The swap was HUGE this year! This was my third (maybe fourth? Who can keep count...) year and it just keeps growing. In past years the kids' bouncies were set up in the middle of a big open area in that back (past the roller pigeons and kind of where the woman with all the bunnies and guinea pigs was set up) but this year that whole section was full and they had to put sellers on the other side of the big barn! I wish they had done the judging a bit earlier, I had to leave by 10am and am sorry I missed seeing who won. I was just there looking this year since I can't add any birds right now, but I about died when I saw the guy who was judging the silkies selling some of his young pairs for $25 a pair!!! Seriously, these were really decent birds and those buyers got a rock-bottom bargain!
