May 2022 hatch along

I think it looks awesome! How often will you move it? It looks like it might be heavy! That would be my biggest question, how often and easy will it be to move

I'm thinking of moving it every week. I have an electric yard tractor that I can hook it to to move easily. It's actually constructed to be as light as possible. The coop itself weighs about 110 pounds--One sheet of 3/4" plywood and 1 and a half sheets of 3/8" pine, plus a few pounds of fir 2" x 2"s. (Plus what seems like at LEAST 50 pounds of paint ) The run will weigh probably 30 pounds, including the wire and polycarbonate roofing.

Ahhh that sounds heavy to me but not as bad as it looks! Those are gonna be some lucky chickens!

Well I’m feeling sad and a bit worried. I just candled the eggs that haven’t pipped yet to see if they needed a safety hole and two of them are DIS :-( Now I’m worried about all the others making it passed the external pip. I love that so many pipped all at once but I am worried about the ones that haven’t pipped and we’re not moving much upon candling. Fingers crossed there will be babies in the AM.

hang in there @kurby22 hopfully the rest of your chicks will be fine. Loosing them at hatch is the worst

I hope you have a great hatch! Is that chick's beak deformed, or is it just the lighting?

It's the lighting, chick is normal.
