May 23rd hatch buddies!

Well on the 1st my Silkie hen went broody and is sitting on 6 eggs. 1 bantam egg, 1 EE egg, 1 Maran egg, and 3 other 'mystery' eggs. I really want to punch myself though because i took out the Silkies egg on the 1st not thinking she was broody or anything and cracked it! So i wont be getting any Silkie babies this time around

I figure she will be due 22-23 or May. At first i thought she was egg bound or something but i really dont think so anymore. If she has to leave the nest to get food or water she hoops and hollers until she gets back on the nest and keeps plucking feathers from her and putting it in the nest. I am so excited and hope to finally get some baby chicks to hatch the 'natural' way

I need some hatch buddies so post here if you are due around the 23rd!

Well its already day 7 for me and i am planning on going outside and candling the eggs today.
