MAY EGG SWAP . . . . Deadline - Eggs must be shipped!!

Welcome to the fun Wiskey Bay

and Kaseyo6.. Chicky is right.. when the person sends out the eggs.. they will send you a PM with the delivery confirmation. I also send Betsy (the organizer) that same information so she knows my eggs have been sent out.

I think....the person sending will PM you a delivery confirmation number (DC#)

Yes the person that is sending your eggs should send you a PM with the DC# so you will know when to expect your package so it doesn't just set on your door step all day. This is my second time doing it and most have given me a general idea on when they would be sending them out. I was a very good experience for me last time they all kept me informed if there were any issues once so ever. Im in 4x this time only did 2x last time. They have me hooked know very fun!

I *really* want to be in but I'm not sure of the fertility on my Marans eggs yet... I did a tiny hatch to test my new bator and 2/3 were fertile but I don't feel like that is a large enough batch to truly test... Is it ok for me to join or will people hate me if the fertility rate is less that hoped for???

Edited to add - It seems that most of the eggs I've cracked have been fertile but I haven't written it down so I don't know exactly how many.

I'm gonna have to drop out this month. Egg sales are way down so I don't know if I'll have the money to ship with. I owe someone eggs right now from the egg chain and don't know when I'll have the money to send those.

I've posted a note to Betsy and haven't heard back from her yet, but wanted to let everyone know that I am having to drop out of this months swap.

My 13 year old son was supposed to have open heart surgery last month to repair an enlarged aorta . This will be his fifth heart surgery. He had a diagnostic heart cath the day before his surgery, that took four times as long as they anticipated and they had to use a lot of dye which was hard on his kidneys. They sent us home to let his kidneys recover and to reschedule his surgery. They didn't think they could get the team together so quickly, but they did.

So we are off on Tuesday to Albuquerque and he will have surgery on Thursday morning at 7:30. Please remember Mike in your prayers!

I'll make the next swap I am sure!

(Here's my boy on the left! That is his sister and brother with him. And Tomahawk, his horse, in the background.)
