got the silver duckwings out yesterday, about a hour later reloaded with RBLW, Seramas and guinea eggs

Went into turn it one last time and a duck has pipped !!!!!!!!!! It's only day 24!!

How exciting! Hope the rest of the hatch goes well...love that you can hear quacking!

In the end I moved the bantam + eggs into the broody pen with the other bantam and her chicks, and everyone seems to be getting along fine. The hens are snuggled up together as I type, with eggs and chicks under both of them! Tomorrow is Day 21, although I didn't set the eggs until the evening so technically I guess it's Day 201/2. I haven't dared disturb the hen to candle the eggs in case she decided to abandon ship again, so will just have to wait and see if anything hatches. Am out at a family "do" all day tomorrow so that will stop me checking every 5 minutes but I will be itching to get home and see lol

One hatched!!!! I woke up and my duck had just got out his leg was still in the shell he trying to walk around the other two are still trying
