That's the weak stuff that comes out of a tube. I use the powdered wasabi which is much stronger. I made sushi with the powdered wasabi for my students one time. I had a student say how much he loved wasabi and he ignored my warning that this stuff was stronger. He tried to keep a straight face, but he couldn't hide the watering eyes and his whole face turning red.

I've got some of the powdered Wasabi but I have never used it....does it have an expiration date?

It technically does, but I've never had it go bad as long as it's been kept dry. One of my tenants is going to Portland Thursday and I've asked him to pick some up for me.
