may need some help with this hen broody or starting?

i have a hen that last night roost in the nest box over night on eggs. then she when back in the nest box to sit but do not no when and sat on the eggs for some time then got off then never return to the nest box until tonight.
broody or starting to be broody
what should i do

Until she sets day and night for 2 days (in this weather) do not give her the eggs that you want her to hatch. It sounds as if she is pre broody.

i do have fake eggs in my nest box and i do have one broody hen as well
just wondering if i should just leave her alone and see what happens

Yes let her go fully broody, and then give her some fertile eggs.

Eggs laid before a hen sets varies from breed to breed and from hen to hen within a breed. Most have a pre broody phase which again is quite variable.

i check to she what she would do (night time here )and all she did was trying to peck me (no sound like a broody hen would do)
