I am just sickened. My main incubator was up to 115 degrees. I couldn't figure out why 2 Guinea keets died while hatching. I'll give them a few days then candle. The main eggs I'm sick about:

I unplugged the dang thing and plugged it back in and it worked fine. UGH.

i'm sorry to hear that jim... i just dread the day that happens to me. i won't say it won't ever, because it will sooner or later if i keep hatching.

on the plus side, rustic's auburn turkey egg is in lockdown and looks like it might happen a bit early possibly. it's due friday but has internally pipped already.

also in lockdown in the hatcher, 2 quail eggs (the last 2 my rooster fertilized), 4 welsummer, 9 mille/partridge cochins, 4 black/self blue cochins and 3 ee/dorking cross.
the quail are due tomorrow, the chickens thursday and the turkey friday... but i went to lockdown for all of them.

OH NO!! well I've had that happen and if it's early in the incubation period I've had them survive, however not that it will make you feel any better but I put 15 tolbunt polish and show quality speckled sussex into the hatcher for lockdown and it was 122 the next am...all cooked.

I have many orders for the mille fleur leghorns I have to fill right now, but I'm happy to send you more silver pencil rocks if you like....

Jim I'm so sorry!!! Only 3/9 of my MF Leghorns made it to lockdown. Cross your fingers that they hatch for me. I REALLY want some!!!! I had quite a few not develop then some quit on me pretty early.

My standard bronze turkey poult from Sadar hatched yesterday! He/she is HUGE! I hatched some of my d'Uccles along with the turkey, so maybe that is why it seems so big, but I know it is bigger than my Royal Palm poults.

The top one is brown, they throw them occasionally. The bottom ones are blue. I've had good luck with shipped duck eggs, not so good with chicken eggs. Did any of them hatch?

Nope... none of the swap eggs... I got from either partner hatched.... they were either clear on day 10 or died somewhere along the way to lockdown.... none of them ever made it to lockdown... but all 3 duck eggs hatched.

Aww man... that sucks.... if the pumpkin crele don't make it.... I will send you some more.

But don't give up on them, yet.... the game are some tough little boogers!

Hatched 4 guineas from Hot2pot. 2 grey pearls and a pied royal purple and a pied blonde. Very pretty thank u. I would have prob had more hatch if by bator didnt mess up like Jims did and got to 118 degrees a couple weeks ago. Believe me I feel your pain. Most the eggs that were in there were expensive or rare ordered eggs I paid alot of money for. Out of each clutch I still got a few to hatch so dont completly give up on them but yeah it killed most. The earlier ones in development seem to b hatching the best and were affected the least.

*sigh* None of mine made it. They were fully developed but died without trying to hatch. Temps were on the low end, but good. Humidity was in the correct range the entire time. Oh well. My SS just went broody so today I ordered a dozen Delaware eggs for her. Hoping that hatch goes better than this one!
