May Pop, Passion vine fruit, edible??

I know that the fruit is edible by humans but is it ok for poultry??? I have 1000's of these plants growing on my fence/property and they are loaded with lots of fruit?? Can I feed some to my girls??

I eat 'em, so do the chickens. Were all still alive so it's probably fine as a treat.

My question is this...how do you tell when that Passion vine fruit is ready to be picked? We have them growing all over through the brush and the sides of the yard. But everytime I've picked one,it wasn't ready yet. I always pick the big ones...but when I open them,the seeds are still small and white. I just throw them to the chickens. They don't seem to mind that they aren't ready yet.
