New Hampshire Red, about 12 weeks old now. She/He started off with a very light comb and the wattle is much smaller than the two other very obviously males I got as chicks with this one.
Some times its more clearly a pullet looking chicken and other times its really hard to tell. It looks nothing like the New Hampshire or Rhode Island Red pullets on this site's breed page.
Is there any way to get a better idea? I'd like to be proactive and pickup another pullet if this one is a male before its too close to winter. I'm in Texas so I've got time before it gets cold if I get going now.
