One of my girls, an Easter Egger went broody with about 15 eggs under her (not all hers). I decided to let her sit. After another two days she decided to take a walk for food and water, but she went back to her box. The next day she got up, but when she went back she went to another box and different eggs. Today she is just walking around with the other birds and paying no attention to any eggs at all.
So what I did was take the original eggs and put them in my incubator. I didn't bother candling them or anything because I figured that time was a big factor. I had the incubator already warmed up and set because I was planning to get other eggs to set.
So today is "Day One"... I will candle around day six to see if anything is happening, I have an auto-turner so I don't have to open it for a while.
Who thinks that they will hatch... how thinks not.
PS: My rooster has been very active, so the chance that they are fertile is high...
