I'll keep you guys updated.

Shipped eggs are a high risk because you may not get as many chicks you want and its expensive.

I am sure there are local breeders that can help you out with fresh fertile eggs.

I ordered my chicks from McMurry and I think they are great! I order 25 chicks and I ended up with 31. I think if your going to order chicks they are great, decent prices too. They have super healthy chicks and offer vacc. However I have found their eggs are crazy expensive! You would do better when taking the risk of a poor hatch finding some eggs here or on ebay. READ FEEDBAK BEFORE BIDDING! I ordered 12 crested pekins from a woman on ebay and paid a total of $25. If I had ordered the same from the McMurry hatery I would have paid $51.84 I know that cause I"m looking at my catalog now. And that was for plain pekins, They don't offer crested pekin eggs just crested ducklings. Also, have yourself and your dad check thier website. Almost all of their stuff right now is either sold out or "out of season" acording to what time of the year they will ship out what. They are gerat for ordering live chicks and what not. UGA (the university where I live) orders thier chicks from them for their poultry devision. And I know that because my mom is friends with the head professor. But me personally. I will always use McMurry for live chicks but no way am I going to use them for eggs.

You got that room cleaned up???? Hope it all works out. I ordered my duck eggs from Metzer Farms. I ordered 8 and they sent 9. One of them was not fertile, and 7 out of the eight hatched. Have fun!!!!

Nah,we got a lot to do.We are going to sraighten it up so that these workers can put a hardwood floor in and order new furniture. We are also going to throw out a lot of my old toys
My room has looked the same for seven years,so there is still little kid stuff in it. I am going to be relieved when my room looks like a preteen lives in it.It should be done by august 20 or so,so by Sep.13 or so I sould have some cute little chickies!
