Maybell

My hen Maybell is a barred rock and she has been laying well until two days ago when we saw her separate from the group of other birds. She is at the top of the pecking order so I don't think that their is a bullying problem.

So what is the actual problem?

She is very docile now and acts as if she needs to lay an egg but nothing has come out.

Why do you think she looks like she needs to lay an egg?
Have you felt her abdomen to see if it is swollen?
She maybe egg bound.
How old is she?
