MBTI Personality Test, Anyone?

I bounce between INTJ and INTP. This week, it's a P

I get paid to be extroverted at work. I'm not dealing with that nonsense when I'm off the clock. :p

Ask anybody who has actually dealt with me and they'll tell you that I don't really classify as an introvert, so...

I don't know how you think of introversion, but most people see it as being closed off, not sociable, etc.

Actually, E vs I is just about how you get your energy. Extroverts feel pumped up after they've spent time with others.
Introverts feel drained after lots of socializing. They may avoid situations where they can't control how much energy they spend on others, like big parties without a time limit, etc.

But depending on the rest of the personality, an introvert can seem outgoing / fun/ and willing to invest effort into other people. Or they can be the closed off people. Depending on the day they could be either!
But either way, when they get home it's a relief rather than a let down.

Extroverts can even seem dull, staid, antisocial. Others can be the chirpy E's we all tend to envision.
But if they don't have enough contact with others, it's a drain on them.

I'm very introverted. But due to my second function I can seem personable to people. It can be obvious when I'm excited to chat. So on first meeting, someone might think me extroverted. But when I go home and shut my door, I don't want to leave again for days. I want to pursue my own interests and deal with other people on my own terms. And because I've had to trouble getting people to respect that, along with other issues, I now avoid people and seem a lot more of a recluse than I used to. So I come online to socialize, where everyone has to stay at arms length 🙃

Tested some years back: me - ENTJ, hubby - ESTJ, son - INFJ, daughter - INTJ
How interesting that two extraverts made two introverts!
INFJ buddy! :highfive:

Do your mental batteries recharge when you're around other people? Or do they recharge when you have time to yourself?

I like to think I'm pretty friendly and do enjoy interacting with people, but I can only do it in doses and need recovery time.

People always find it strange that there are so many INFJs online when it's supposed to be rare.
Right? That's what I thought. Apparently they're all on BYC taking this test! 🤣
Same here. Interesting test!
Another INFJ! :highfive:
I’ve not taken one of these before. I don’t know what they mean by “virtuoso” but I’d say their percentages are fairly accurate. At any rate the questions were interesting!

I have one of these in my family! Very analytical mind, but likes novelty and experimenting with new things.
