I hope I posted this in the right place
I watched the show this morning and was shocked to see how they "sexed" the chicks. I watched as the chickes were picked up by one wing and then wrist flipped into either container...I thought oh my , could that be how some of the chicks are being injured when we recieve there. Maybe their little organs got damaged from being flipped into a hard surface, and we are told they were just weak to begin with.
Then when they vacinated them ...the guy was told to press the back of the necks of the chicks against the vacination machine and a needle would come out ( air driven) and would give the chick a shot into the neck. Could this be the "bent" or crooked necks some chicks arrive with??? Poor little chicks
.
Ok I 'm done I just had to say something, Oh if I have the wrong hatchery...sorry but I thought they said McMurray.
Have a good day
