Original guess was barred rock, hoping for a cuckoo maran, but not holding my breath. What does everyone think?

Looks like a maran. My rocks all had a yellow spot on their head while my maran had white

It too young to sex accurately at this point. After the barred feathers come in, females typically have dark barring and males typically have light barring.
Is this assuming that we have a maran? About what age do the barred feathers come in? I'm excited to see how this chick turns out, really hoping for a hen though, as I don't think we are in a place that would co-exist well with a rooster.

This will be true with any barred breed including a Marans. The chick should be close to fully feathered by 6 weeks and the difference in shading between male and females should be pretty easily seen at that point.

Thank you so much! I appreciate all the help!

It is a Silver Cuckoo Marans because it has pink colored shanks. Although this method doesn't always work, but in barred breeds neat round head spots usually means pullet, while sloppy head spots usually means cockerel. Your chick seems to have a neat head spot so I'm leaning towards pullet.
