I have recently joined as I got my first Chicken. I live in a small town in Ecuador, and I got Hydra on Easter Monday. She was a day old, and her mother was running her off, not letting her eat or drink. We asked her mother's owner if we could take the poor dieing baby and that's how I got my bird. Ever since I got her we have been having a lot of "adventures".
She got Chicken-naped by a little girl, over heats way to much, We don't have any other Chickens so she doesn't behave much like a chicken. She follows our cats around the yard and plays with them. Are cats are well behaves and don't use claws while playing, but they are always supervised. Hydra also had a health issue that left one of her legs paralyzed. She is so super spoiled, eating table scarps and sleeping inside with her own personal fan, as she is way to fluffy for this 90°-100° wether.
Love my girl and this site and community has help me keep her happy and as healthy as I can.
