Made an account to be able to ask for feed and other care advice. Here are my two baby girls who are turning 3 this year. As you can see they are very clingy, it was my mom who got them in 2020 but now I care for them. I wonder if it would be safe to introduce a third? I have read online that you should have at least three but also that they can bully any new girl you try to introduce. I am very scared of my girls bullying a new girl, so is it really worth introducing a new member to our squad?
Linnea (left) is a smålandshöna, a local breed and Roxette (right) is a legbar mix. Got them from the same breeder.
Welcome to BYC!!

Welcome to the coop! I use the Forums and Articles tabs at the top of the page to do research. You can get lost for hours. It's nice to know you are minutes away from getting help with questions and emergencies! I always check in the "What's New" section as well at the top of this page. This way I can read how I may have a similar question or help give some advice.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Adorable photo! 💗 The idea behind adding 2 birds is because 1 becomes a huge target and 1 bird can get bullied to death during the introduction period. So if at all possible, add 2. If this isn't possible, 1 bird will need to be watched and worked with for months by you, constant supervision, until she has been accepted by your 2 birds.

Good luck and welcome aboard!
That makes sense. I would have to find a bounded pair then, preferably adults since baby life was tough. I like my adults girl because of independent they are. I am home all days except Tuesdays when I go to the office so they can always call for me.
