I had a huge 5 year old gray Ap gelding a few years ago. Could clear a four foot fence like it was jumping over a log. I rode it bareback all over the sale ring. Gentle as a lamb. Dumb, but gentle. Sorta like me.

Then I got it home and put a saddle on it..

and learned four things.

1. He had never had a saddle on.

2. Falling on your head hurts!

3. There IS a horse I can't ride, and

4. I'm too old for that stuff.

I'm still tempted sometimes, but I always talk myself out of the notion.

Capes I might have...several, different colors.

But I'm still afraid to jump from the roof wearing nothing but a cape
holding one Golden Feather. Doing the math, with my weight it's going
to take a LOT of feathers. Big feathers...

I too noticed the Farm Boy has went Platinum on us. He's got me looking
at him, wondering.

And dear Em, how very quick she was to deny. Yet she seems to know
exactly who does know in offering up Terri Lacy as the one to know. That's
the sort of answer that makes a man wonder..

And the absence of TerriLacy or any moderator's reply speaks volumes to me.
They know....they all know.

We have 12 cutting horses. Why #13? Well, they're kinda like chickens, just can't have enough. I'm going to a big horse sale in MO. in May, too. How crazy is that?
