I am curious weather or not anyone feeds their chicken's meal worms....
My son is attending an Ag Science and Biotech High School. Each year they have to work on an agricultural project. He had an idea to raise meal worms for the next school year. His idea came about because he also own's a gecko and a skink, and meal worms at the pet food store are very expensive. We are planning on getting chickens in a few weeks as well.
So..obviously for his two reptiles he doesn't go through enough to make the project worth while, but he is wondering if he raises the meal worms for our chickens, and maybe to sell that it would be a worthwhile en devour.
If you do feed meal worms, how many, how often, with what other feed?
Thanks for your input.
He is also considering fodder for the chickens, and is starting a project on that to see how to best reduce and hopefully eliminate mold growth. That idea was thanks to this forum!
