I raise my on meal worms and feed them to 35 grown hens and roosters. How often and how many should I give them? Can you give them to many if so what will it do to them?

Here at Sunshine Acre Worm Farm it depends on the season. This time of year we use them as more of a treat than a supplement. Typically we give them about 10 each a few times a week. During molt season and during the winter when insects are hard to come by it is actually a part of their diet. Assuming they get some sort of feed product in addition to the worms, Its very unlikely that you would be over feeding them at any quantity.

Here is a link to some nutritional information on our website.

I have thirty two hens and two roosters that I feed. They have a feeder of layer/scratch each day about twelve pounds. I use a old pimento cheese cup full two or three times per week is that too much? By the way my roosters won't eat them they just let the girls have them maybe they're just being gentlemen. Thanks for the reply.
