Protein treats

Assuming you're in the northern hemisphere have you seen any signs of molt beginning? Not unusual for 2-3 year old layers to start tapering off at this point even if they haven't already started losing feathers.

No signs of molting.

Beans are a good source of proteins but if it was me I'd give animal proteins. Fish, organ meat, minced meat, whatever is cheaper. Twice a week and always cooked.

Canned fish, packed in water, without salt, is also a good high protein treat.
