Riley Ranch
In the Brooder
Today I received my 1000 live meal worms via post office. They were alive. I used a plastic tote with a lid. Drilled 12 small holes in lid. I put 3 inches of corn meal, wheat germ, oatmeal, corn flakes, wheat flakes. I put an egg cartoon for them to hide under. There was a partial egg carton in their packing. I sliced a few potatoes for moisture and placed on top of bedding of mixture of food. I poured worms in on top and placed the burlap bag they came in also. A few worms wouldn't come out of bag. Replaced lid and put in the darkest place on our storage conex container. No it's a wait and see experiment in growing meal worms.
