Scroll back a page or two......was just some discussion on why chicken feed might not be a good addition.

I can think of a thousand things you shouldn't be doing but I think your mom will get over it. Just make sure it's In a container that is secure. So she will feel secure about them.

She does not want me to she said mabe after school dut mabe most likely is a no. My sister it even saying not to do it and their for her gecko and my chicken. Sorry for my spelling.

Sorry your mom said no Matt. They really are very low cost and low maintenance... As opposed to buying them at pet smart at 1000 times mark up over the cost of raising your own. Maybe if you tell mom she has a choice... either meal worms or a puppy... her choice

By the way, that's very nice and considerate of you to offer to raise them to help out your sister. Good brother!

Has anyone heard of mealworms being a source of botulism for chickens?
Someone brought this up in another thread.

I did a search and didn't find anything and I don't really see how it could be so.
