Mealworm farming

Okay so I ordered my worms 7/29 and still waiting for them to show up

hopefully tomorrow or I will have to call and get a refund and order from some where else. Argh.......

My DS age 8 has been taking a few (A handful or two) meal worms out to the girls each day. He cannot resist and they love him for it. DS has a disability and we have been looking into a therapy dog for him but with the meal worms and chickens that is the best therapy there is!!!!!

HE has to sit quietly and move slowly and calmly and he can get the girls to jump for the meal worms. HE is so proud of himself.

I cannot even say how much this has done for his confidence. DH tried to take pics the other night but we did not have the high speed camera. I will take updated pics with the good camera instead of the phone camera. I love checking on the worms. We have a few beetles and I love finding the pupa. I love exploring the bin.

Chickens are sure happy. Can't wait to share them with them this winter when bugs are scarce.

I would really like to see these videos. You can actually see them lay their eggs?

There is a picture of a beetle laying an egg and a picture of the egg on post 712 of this thread. Not a video though.
