Now you take a break and wait!!! for about a month or so. Have patience!!! I will seem like forever!Okay I'm finally out of larva and it looks like the pupa are all done as well. So I'm just down to the beetle stage. I do have about 50 dark beetles.
I have the three bin drawer set up with beetles in the top with screened bottom, larva in middle and pupa in bottom drawer. So what do I do now?
Should I be moving the beetles around to look for dead ones and sifting out eggs? or separating them into another drawer to create different batches? Or just waiting for the eggs to fall, hatch and grow? After separating everyone for a month I feel like I should do something here, but what?
Thanks!

Oh if you've got more than just a couple of beetles then you already have tons of eggs in there!Okay I'll wait. Is the waiting time for the eggs to be larva or for eggs to be laid?
CLEAN EVERY WEEK????? Holy cow, after the newness wears off you will realize you only need to clean them up a bit every few months!!! If even that often. Many people on here never clean out anything! But until then......have fun. It is all so exciting. My granddaughter found a baby worm and was so excitedshe (5 yrs) likes the chickens and the bugs..... my 3 yr old son.... not so much the bugs![]()

I sorted the bins AGAIN and just put all the big worms and pupae and beetles in one bin. That way I can just deal with one bin to clean every week. I found some nice size small bins at the Dollar General store on sale for $3.50. I think I may get them so I will have 10 that I can stack.
I have all the little eggs and worms in one BIG bin till I can sift them out in 9 weeks..... I need to date these things too.....
