Hello mealworm farmers!
I ordered 2000 mealworms to start my adventure and the shipment was shipped out on May 10. I received notice that the shipment was delayed and would not arrive until today, May 23rd. I am guessing they will all be dead. I already contacted the seller about it and I will receive a refund, but I am wondering, is this a total loss? Or can the dead mealworms be fed to the chickens? What would you do?

I’d dump them all in the yard/run and if they’re still good they’ll eat them.

Otherwise, they’d make good fertilizer for a plant or your garden.

Well, they finally arrived and miraculously some are still alive! I just threw the whole lot into their bin with some apple cores and carrots and dampened some paper towel pieces to cover more area. Should I pick out the nonmoving ones or not worry about it?
