Mealworm raising question

I just started raising mealworms with a plastic container. I put rolled oats as bedding, and then I put carrots on top. After a few days, I saw most of the worms are crowding near the edge of the box as if they want to run away. See picture below. Anything I didn't do correctly?

Thanks for your responses! It is still crowding on the edge, and the fruit/carrots are not eaten. I am a bit concerned...

Try some other sources of moisture. Mine like all greens, inc things like carrot tops, chard, outer leaves of cabbage/lettuce etc., broccoli stalks are a fav, fennel fronds (which also make a lovely smell as they chomp through it). If you put them on a plastic 'plate' (I use a margarine tub lid or suchlike) so they don't disappear into the bran substrate, it is easier to see what they like and pick out anything starting to go mouldy.
