Mealworm Sources?

i keep mine in the beer fridge on the porch. the freeze dried ones do not need to be kept in the freezer. ziploc bag in the shed would be fine.

if your chickens are like mine, they will eat the dried ones just as well as live. they may also help you get over being squeamish. Before you know it, you'll be growing them too!

I found a great deal on-line...IF you want lots of them.

I have been paying $7.99 for the 3.5 ounce bag of Happy Hen Treats. Our Lil Peepers LOVE them, and they are so funny to watch when they hear the bag "crinkle". I just ordered mine, so I can't say how long it takes for them to arrive.

I woke up today to see 5 more are pupating...which means my initial $10 investment will give me generations of fresh, healthy new worms for free..and they all live in a shoebox of oatmeal.
