Mealworms?!

So I was just reading a thread about the maggot bucket. We breed our own mealworms to feed to our leopard gecko and was wondering if its safe to feed to our chickens as well?

I raise meal worms for my chickens they are like chicken crack they go nuts over it. I also use them to make friends with my younger chicks, it's so funny to see them at first they are like run what is that then one brave chick will walk up and grab a worm and the chase is on lol.
