Mean Aggressive Chicken

This is really helpful! Thank you for your quick replies! I’ll send pictures of our coop set-up tomorrow when it’s light out. We have our coop/run built where the younger and older chickens can see but not touch each other - with only short (20-30 minutes) of supervised time together. Both areas have their own food and water. They’ve all been in the see-no-touch set-up for roughly a month now. The older chickens are roughly 15 months old.
I would wait another month before trying to mix them in. Keep them visible in the coop and run too so the older group always sees them. Expect jostling when you mix them next month, put out more food and water stations and definitely some hidy spots, places to escape to or jump on to get away from the bigger birds. They will do fine!

Hello, and welcome to BYC. Great advice has been given on your problem. I would wait until the younger birds have matured, remove the known aggressor, integrate them to the others, and then return the known aggressor once all has settled down. She will then have to make her place with the entire flock.
